Poetry on Brick Street

On this Thursday night, Bob Okaji will be reading from his book of poems about learning to play a Japanese flute. With that musical note in mind, we are offering a chance to win a small prize at our open mic for your best, poem about a musical instrument. Bring a no-more-than-one-page poem you’ve written to share at open mic. Join us to metaphorically beat your drum, toot your horn, play your piano, tone your trombone, or whatever part of the band you want to let us hear through your words. Normal open mic will follow, but we hope you’ll try your hand at this poetic, musical challenge.

We meet the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at Sullivan Munce Cultural Center, 225 West Hawthorne Street, Zionsville, IN 46077.
