Please join us at The Poets Laureate of Lawrence – our monthly featured poet/open mike series that happens every 4th Tuesday of the month. This month we are featuring, Patricia Cupp, who will be reading from her new book, Dressing for the Weather. Please come support these local poets, and bring your own poetry to share during the open mike.
Patricia Cupp is a lifelong resident of Indiana with the exception of two years in the Peace Corps long ago. She retired from teaching after 39 years and fortunately found a writing community through the Indiana Writers Center. She meets regularly with her group called InterUrban to share and offer critiques for one another. She enjoys traveling and gardening, both of which have yielded material for her poems. Through Chatter House Press she has recently published a poetry collection entitled Dressing for the Weather. She will have copies for sale at tonight’s reading.
