Letter Writing Event
Indy Reads will facilitate a letter writing gathering for attendees to show support for incarcerated survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Writing letters to incarcerated survivors can reduce feelings of isolation and provide support to a vulnerable population. Letter writing gatherings allow us to come together to learn more about the experiences of incarcerated survivors and the importance of making connections through letter writing.
The gathering will begin at 6pm and last about an hour. Materials and addresses of the recipients will be provided. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drink. Because of the sensitive nature of the topics being discussed, we are limiting the event to those who are aged 18+.
